Discover Britain's Most Spectacular Preserved Railways
Britain's Heritage Steam & Diesel Railways
Britain has more than a hundred lines or museums with heritage rail traction, offering visitors a vast choice of steam and diesel-hauled trains running over distances ranging from a couple of miles to over 20 miles or seeing them in static display. These preserved railways operate thanks to hundreds of dedicated volunteers who help provide a great day out into the former days where diesel and steam engines ruled over the UK.
